Myspace was a heavy hitter for creatives back in the day. It was where I met other poets such as Angela Edgar.

Angela was putting together a book launch for her self-published poetry called `Inspired’ and asked if I would perform at her event.

The setting was an intimate experience and Angela had a great turn out with lots of purchases of her book on the evening.

I am no stranger to supporting charities and have performed at events for the following:

- United Haitians in the United Kingdom

- Teenage Cancer

Sometimes event organisers may ask if for your material to match the ethos of their event. this is a request I am not partial too and have no problem writing something new for a specific causes as it stretches the genres and subject matters of my poetry.

Below is a poem I wrote and performed at Two Week's event, which was centred around providing relief and funding for Haiti after the devasting earthquake in January 2010.

In 2012 Future Poet spoke to a Year 3 class in Chapel End Junior School, (London, UK) about poetry. The class she spoke to subsequently used specific poems in her book a number times when having discussions about poetry and its meaning.

In October 2015, in honour of Black History Month, Future Poet spoke to a Year 1 class in Chapel End Infants School about Black inventors and poetry. She combined the two subjects very well and held the attention of the young minds she was speaking to. She discussed the everyday things that were invented by Black people and the things they would like to invent. She also discussed how poetry is used to express all types of feelings and how the nursery rhymes that were sung to them as babies are also considered poems.
